DriveAway brings two protections together for eligible new vehicles at Dilawri Auto Credit. One can help settle what you owe if a qualifying life event leads you to return your vehicle. The other makes your vehicle and its parts harder for thieves to disguise.
If you lose your job involuntarily or a qualifying disability makes payments difficult, returning your vehicle may still leave you owing money. On an approved vehicle return, the included Basic plan can help cover that shortfall, up to the $7,500 policy limit.
How it works in dollars
Suppose you owe $24,000 and your vehicle is valued at $20,000. That leaves $4,000 to settle. On a qualifying return, WALKAWAY could cover that $4,000 toward your financing balance.
Warning decals on the driver and passenger windows tell a would-be thief that the vehicle is marked. Identifying marks on body panels make those parts harder to pass off as belonging to another vehicle.
How it works when you park
At home overnight or in a public parking lot, the markings stay in place without anything to arm, charge or remember. At delivery, ask us to show you the marks on your vehicle and where to find the theft-protection details in your agreement.
Quebec residents are not eligible for the DriveAway Package. WALKAWAY employment-related coverage, other than disability, begins on day 31. See your certificate for eligibility, terms and exclusions.
Finance protection applies to eligible loans, leases and purchases funded by a line of credit. There is no financing balance to protect on an outright cash purchase.
