The Edge is offered in both front- and all-wheel drive configurations, with four trim levels - SE, SEL, Titanium and (AWD only) ST. Power is supplied by either a 250-hp 2.0-liter turbocharged EcoBoost four-cylinder engine, or a 335-hp 2.7-liter EcoBoost twin-turbo V6; both include Auto Start-Stop technology. A new eight-speed automatic transmission with available manual mode and paddle shifters is now standard. Trim-dependent standard equipment includes: a hands-free power liftgate, 19- and 20-inch aluminum wheels, LED headlights, heated front seats, leather upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control and Intelligent Access with push-button start, along with HD/satellite radio, smartphone integration, two USB ports, FordPass Connect Wi-Fi hotspot, wireless device charging and an 8-inch touchscreen display. Safety features found on every Edge include anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist, AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control, traction control, MyKey parental controls and a rearview camera, as well as eight airbags. For 2019, Ford Co-Pilot360 is introduced as standard on every Edge - a suite of driver assist technologies that includes Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) with cross-traffic alert, Lane Keeping System and auto high-beam headlamps. Other technologies, including Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Centering, Evasive Steering Assist, and Active Park Assist, are also offered.
The Ford Edge gets a new look for 2019, with revised front and rear styling, along with enhanced standard equipment and driver assist technologies. Additionally, a new performance ST trim debuts (replacing the Sport trim from the previous model year), while the 3.5-liter V6 engine is no longer offered.
